The Red Room at Cap City: Moontower Presents: Ask A Fuckboy
Val Parker is a comedian and producer best known for Ask a Fuckboy, the sold-out show she co-created with Andrea Popova. The show has been spotlighted by TimeOut New York, and featured talent from SNL, Netflix, and TikTok. Val has been performing and producing stand-up for over a decade, starting at age thirteen as part of Gotham Comedy Club’s teen showcase. Before going full time with comedy, she oversaw all ads at podcast network Lemonada Media, writing ad copy for Sarah Silverman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Samantha Bee. Her writing has garnered over two dozen awards and been featured by McSweeney's, The AV Club, Vulture, Forbes, Buzzfeed, Cheddar, and on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Val’s first film, the short mockumentary, "Wax Paul Now," covered her viral movement to get Paul Giamatti a wax statue at Madame Tussauds (ft. a cameo by Paul, who is every bit as nice as they say he is).
Andrea Popova is a Content Creator and Producer who has scaled her live comedy show, Ask a Fuckboy, to viral success (alongside her best friend, Val Parker) – selling out every show since its inception less than 2 years ago, touring at venues with up to 350 seats each in NYC and LA, and collaborating with iconic brands on sponsored content. From their success building Ask a Fuckboy, she and Val now get hired by brands to write and produce funny campaigns that build community and go viral– a service they call “STFU.” She was previously a Data Analyst at Meta and studied Political Science at University of Chicago.
