We're Open!
Where is Cap City located?
We’re located at The Domain!
11506 Century Oaks Terrace, Austin, TX 78758
How do I purchase tickets for a specific show?
You can pre-purchase tickets online. If you are having issues, call our box office at 512.467.2333
Please Note: Tickets are only available through capcitycomedy.com, and ticket resale is strictly prohibited. Tickets suspected of being purchased for the sole purpose of reselling will be canceled at the discretion of Cap City Comedy Club. For more information click HERE.
What is the Red Room?
The Red Room is our smaller showroom located upstairs inside the venue, featuring the best of local and national talent in a more intimate setting.
Are there any age restrictions?
We are an 18+ venue.
Am I expected to wear a mask?
With ever-changing guidelines and mandates, please refer to the local government agencies for the most up-to-date information. Customers are expected to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and others.
What is the difference between Reserved, General Admission, and Balcony seating?
Reserved seats are pre-assigned for you by management. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time of assigning.
General Admission seating is available on a first-come, first-sat basis, and Balcony is General Admission on our second-floor balcony. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be. Ticket purchasers who arrive on time are guaranteed seating.
Please Note: We are not able to accommodate specific seating requests at this time.
What time should I arrive?
The box office and lounge will open 1 hour before showtime for matinees and 2 hours before showtime for all other shows. We recommend that ticket holders arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime.
Please Note: All tickets are subject to expire 15 minutes before showtime. If you are running late or think you will arrive later than 15 minutes before showtime, please call the box office to let them know.
How can I ensure that my party is seated together?
General admission is first-come, first-seated as you enter the showroom, so seating preference cannot be guaranteed. However, general admission ticket holders who arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime and enter the showroom together have the best chance of being seated as a group.
Reserved ticket holders must purchase tickets as a group in a single transaction to be assigned seating together.
Please Note: Larger groups may be seated at multiple tables in the same area. These tables cannot be rearranged or pushed together
What is Ticket Protection?
Ticket protection is insurance that allows you to cancel your order to receive a venue credit for a future event. It can be added to most orders at the time of purchase by selecting it on the next page after choosing your quantity and ticket type.
Please Note: Ticket Protection cannot be added to an order after it has already been placed.
How can I redeem my Ticket Protection?
Email protection@heliumcomedy.com with your order information (first and last name, email address, and order number) no less than 24 hours before showtime.
Please Note: Cancelation requests received via phone, chat, or less than 24 hours before showtime will not be accepted.
Does Cap City accept credit cards?
MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and debit cards. No personal checks accepted.
What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
Is there a drink minimum?
Instead of a drink minimum, we have a two-item per person minimum in the Showroom (e.g., 1 soda and 1 appetizer), which allows our patrons to enjoy the food Cap City has to offer.
Please Note: Food and drinks purchased in the bar and lounge DO NOT count towards the two-item minimum.
Should I research the comedian before attending a show?
Yes. Comedy is subjective and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner's biography is a great way to get insight on the expected performance.
What is the Showroom like? How does seating work?
The Showroom arrangement is similar to a cabaret theater – chairs surrounding tables, facing the stage. With friendly and discreet table service, we ensure you won’t miss any of the action.
How long do the shows typically last?
Shows are usually between 90 and 105 minutes, although the show’s actual length is entirely dependent on the headliner and what their current performance calls for.
Is there a dress code?
Nice, casual attire.
Is the club fully accessible?
Yes, our Main showroom and Upstairs showroom are fully accessible. Call our box office for more information. We encourage all patrons who have a disability to reach out to us to make accommodations.
Please Note: Our Balcony does not have an accessible entrance.
Where can I park near the club?
The Domain offers plenty of free parking in surrounding lots. We are located closest to the Pink Garage.
Is your club smoke-free?
Yes, however smoke may be used at times by the comedians on stage.
Are cameras allowed in the club?
Patrons may take personal photographs BEFORE or AFTER the show. Taking pictures and videotaping shows during the show without the club’s and the artist’s written consent is strictly prohibited.
