Slogan Winner: “Hot Nights, Cool Laughs @ Cap City”
Well, we here at CapCityComedy.Com have concluded our second in-house contest--you know: Create A Summer Slogan for Cap City--and the results are in. Drum roll, please. The winning slogan is “Hot Nights, Cool Laughs @ Cap City,” a slight variation on the entry submitted by Michelle Kiesewetter.

As promised, she wins one night stay at the Residence Inn in Austin, a “Funniest Person In Austin” t-shirt, and tickets for a group of 10 to attend a Cap City show in June. That slogan is already prominently displayed on the front of our web site, and who knows where else it’ll turn up. Congratulations, Michelle!

There were, of course, other entries we liked a great deal, even if they were a bit unwieldy by slogan standards, like “Not happy with your body in the summer months? Come to Cap City, where everyone’s always FULLY CLOTHED!” (submitted by Javier Perez Jr.), and “Because it’s hot out there and your friends still aren’t funny: Cap City Comedy Club” (from Keith Poulson). Well done, everyone. We appreciate all the entries.

And we suspect you’re on the edge of your seat wondering what the next contest is, right? Glad you asked. This one’s not only Summer specific, but also pretty Austin specific: Guess how many days between June 10 and August 31 that Austin experiences a temperature of 100 degrees--or higher.
