Paul Lyons is a man of many talents--and many fans. First and foremost, he’s an accomplished stand-up comic, whose enormously refreshing and animated act has won him prizes--like first at New York’s Toyota Comedy Festival--and all kinds of accolades, like the Denver Rocky Mountain News calling him “A deviously creative funnyman” and Silver Friedman (the owner of the Original Improvisation) saying Lyons is “wonderfully wholesome and significantly different.” Then there was the half-hour pilot he created for the Comedy Channel, about which The New York weighed in with this thumbs-up: “Of all the original productions...this is the first piece of pure gold...this is funny--it is also very illuminating.” On top of that, his acting resume includes cream of the crop sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” and as an essayist, his pieces are published regularly in Playgirl, TV Guide and Details.
